Isreali Cigarettes Beat US Version for Most Unhealthy Title

Photo of Marlboro Warning Smoking Kills

Here is an entertaining Hurts To Look story and photo submitted by Yael K Miller.

I’m in the Ben Gurion International Airport, Tel Aviv, Israel.  I’m at the gate waiting for my flight to New York when I spot a near-by store filled with cigarette cartons.

In the United States, cigarette cartons might say “SURGEON GENERAL’S WARNING: Smoking Causes Lung Cancer.”

In Israel it’s more direct as you can see from this Marlboro carton.  Of course, even though “Smoking kills” you can still buy a carton.

Gotta love the directness of those Isreali government. Why beat around the bush when it comes to sending a message about public health and wellness?
