I find inspiration in the non-traditional and occasionally unpleasant objects, people and circumstances encountered in the adventure that is life. Some images are so grotesque that I feel compelled to share my vision with the world. There are so many opportunities to view our lives from this unique different perspective.

I hope that it hurts you to look as much as it hurts me.

Why Hurts To Look?

In my college art history classes, I was inspired by the words of Andre Breton. In the “Surrealist Manifesto,” Breton states “Let us not mince words: the marvelous is always beautiful, anything marvelous is beautiful, in fact only the marvelous is beautiful.” This quote inspires me to find the marvelous in the images captured by my camera lens.

Sharing those things that I see in my day to day life satisfies my artistic and creative urges!

Not all images are pleasant, some may even be considered offensive, yet they all contain an inner quality that makes them timeless and worthy of repeat viewings.
