Naptime at the Museum

January 26, 2010

On a recent trip to Washington, DC, I had the opportunity to peruse the multitude of cultural offerings on DC’s National Mall. The Smithsonian Institutes provide, free of charge, the chance to quench one’s thirst for culture on a grand scale.

As there are so many things to see, one often tests their tolerance for paintings, diorama recreations of cavemen scenery, and massive skeletons of see and land creatures.

As I turned the corner at the Museum of Natural History, I spied a person seemingly suffering from aesthetic exhaustion. I know how she felt, as the oppressive November rains had me wanting to lay down on the other side of her bench.

Have you ever took a nap in a museum before?

If so, at which museum?

Did you get caught?
